Radley College Sports Centre

The entrance to the Sports Centre and its car park is opposite the Church (do not use the main entrance to Radley College). There is an overflow car park in Church Road.

Swimming

Lane swimming and casual bathing for just £1.50 per session (with lifeguards)

50+ Mondays 10.45 am to 12 noon
Ladies (any age) Wednesdays 10.45 am to 12 noon
Parent & toddler Thursdays 11.30 am to 12.30 pm
18+ Fridays 11.30 am to 12.30 pm

 

A number of swimming clubs also use Radley College Sports Centre (including Radley Swimming Club).

Badminton

The hall at Radley College Sports Centre has five badminton courts.

Badminton courts are available to anyone for individual hire daily from 9 am to 12 noon at a cost of just £2 per hour. Call the Sports Centre on 01235 543111 for availability and to book.

Ladies morning - a friendly group session for just £2.00 on Wednesdays from 10 am to 12 noon. A great way to mix with friends or to meet like minded people.

Several badminton clubs use the courts at Radley College on different evenings. See the noticeboard in the Sports Centre foyer for details.

Squash

Radley College Squash Rackets Club - open to pupils, staff and people living in the area

Tennis

Outdoor courts are available for hire at Radley College. Contact the Sports Centre office on 01235 543111

 

Weight training

Conditioning room at Radley College Sports Centre is open to the public 6.30-9.30 pm Mon-Fri.

Users must report first to the Sports Centre receptionist.

 

Fencing

Oxford Scorpions Fencing Club meets in the Barker Gym, Radley College

Golf

Radley Golf Club - nine-hole parkland course in the grounds of Radley College (par 68 for 18 holes and 5414 yards off mens competition tees)

Cricket

Radley Cricket Club plays its home matches at Radley College during July and August.

 

Fishing

The River Thames at Radley is a popular spot with anglers. More details

 

Football

Various clubs use the sports hall (five-a-side) and/or the astro turf pitch at Radley College. The playing field and sports pavilion next to Radley Village Hall are used by the various teams of Radley Boys Football Club, but are also available for hire from the Parish Council. Athletics

Radley Athletics Club, founded in 1972 as Radley Ladies, now uses the facilities at Tilsley Park in Abingdon.
