After over two years of reconstruction work, Radley's newly renovated railway station was officially reopened, on behalf of First Great Western, on Monday 13 October, by Councillor Ian Hudspeth, the transport portfolio holder of Oxfordshire County Council.

The ceremony was attended by Richard Rowland, The Regional Manager for First Great Western, and Geoff Capes, the local Station Manager and well as several representatives of the local community.

In the course of the event, Councillor Hudspeth unveiled a plaque commemorating the reopening and Mr Capes handed a cheque for £250 to the Friends of Radley Station, a local group set up under the Oxfordshire County Council and First Great Western Station Adoption Scheme, and under the auspices of Radley Parish Council, to help look after and further improve the station and its environs.
