Brownie meetings are run by four leaders, each of which is given the name of an owl such as Snowy Owl, Barn Owl, Brown Owl and Tawny Owl. The Pack meets on Thursday evenings during term-time in Radley Village Hall from 5.30 to 7 pm.

The 24 members of 1st Radley Brownie pack enjoy a range of activities such as sports, crafts, games, quizzes and much more. We rehearse and perform an annual pantomime around Easter time, and also enjoy visits and activities such as ice-skating, sponsored walks and discos.

During the meetings or at home, Brownies may work towards interest badges. Interest badges enable Brownies to try new hobbies and activities. It also allows them to display their abilities at ones with which they are already familiar.

Subscriptions are charged on a termly basis (each term lasts around two months). The money from subscriptions goes towards the rent for the village hall, materials for craft and sports, badges and other activities.

Brownie uniform varies and can consist of shorts, jogging bottoms, tee-shirts, body warmers, sweatshirts, or whatever is most comfortable.  The uniform can be bought from the official Guiding website.

1st Radley Brownie Pack insists on its Brownies wearing trainers with their uniform due to the slippery nature of our floor. But apart from this, the only piece of uniform which all Brownies are expected to own is the sash, on which badges are displayed.
